FORT COLLINS, Colo.—DEC. 4, 2013—Making a difference in the community is a core value of Blue Ocean Enterprises, Inc. (“Blue Ocean”), and the company’s employees responded to a corporate charitable campaign by raising nearly $117,000 for Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity and building a new home in partnership with a local family.
Blue Ocean employees were challenged to raise funds for a non-profit of their choice as part of the “Dare to Care” program, sponsored by the OtterCares Foundation, the charitable organization of OtterBox, one of Blue Ocean’s affiliated companies. They selected a Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity house as their annual volunteer and fundraising project, and in just one month, raised funds and in-kind donations totaling $116,685, including a matching grant of $12,000 from OtterCares.
